A herbaceous hardy perennial, Trachelium produces fluffy violet heads of flowers atop dark purple foliage. Trachelium flowers for a long period of time from late Spring onwards. A great flower to cut, the blooms are very long lasting! The more you cut the more it produces. Grows to approx 90cm by 40cm wide and prefers full sun in well drained soil. If in a frost prone area it will need some protection.
