Spring Season- Hand Tied Bouquet Saturday 18th October
Workshop date- Saturday 18th October from 10am to 1pm.
1030 West Coast Rd Warkworth
Spring truly is the the most abundant season of them all. Filled with colour and variety, the flowers are beautiful, whimsical and lovely to create with.
You’ll begin the morning at Hands in the Dirt, with a tour of our 3 flower fields where we will discuss briefly our growing methods using sustainable and regenerative principles.
We’ll then arrive back at our barn where all of our floral work takes place. The space will be filled with freshly harvested spring flowers from our own fields and sourced from other local, sustainable growers.
I’ll begin with a demonstration on how to create a relaxed, spiral hand-tied bouquet using a natural, intuitive approach. Then you’ll have time to create your own, with me nearby to offer support and answer questions.
Whilst creating your bouquet, we will chat about how we make our naturalistic designs using a wide variety of seasonal flowers, utilising what each season has to offer and what is readily available. From herbs to flowers to grasses, nothing is off limits and all are meant to expand your horizons on what can be used when creating arrangements!
Once the bouquets are finished, we’ll gather for a light morning tea and take a moment to enjoy one another’s company.
This workshop is suitable for anyone who loves flowers! From beginners to those wanting to expand their knowledge, all are welcome.
Our farm is situated 50 minutes north of Auckland central and only 30 minutes from Matakana and the East Coast. Make a weekend out of it by visiting Matakana and the surrounding beautiful coast lines. It really is a very special place!
I really look forward to meeting and spending time with you all!
